PPE Services Limited · Te Aroha

Te Aroha’s electrician & handyman.

A registered electrician with over 25 years in the trade — who also does the rest of the job. One call, one van, both trades.

One business, two trades

A registered electrician who also does the rest of the job.

PPE Services is two branches under one roof — Reactive Electrical and Fix It Phill. One person, one van, one number. A job that needs both trades doesn’t need two tradespeople.

Reactive Electrical

The part of the job that needs a registered electrician.

Most electrical work in New Zealand has to be done by a registered electrical worker. That is Phill — and it is the side of PPE Services people around Te Aroha have known longest.

One visit, both trades

The kitchen that needed two tradespeople.

A rangehood, some downlights, a power point and a sagging cabinet door. Usually that’s a sparky and a handyman. With PPE Services it’s one visit.

Meet Phill

Twenty-five years on the tools, and his own name on the van.

Phill Palmer has spent over 25 years in the electrical trade. Most people around Te Aroha know that side of him as Reactive Electrical — the kiwi and the atom. PPE Services Limited brings it together with Fix It Phill, the handyman side, so one tradesperson can finish a job that crosses both.

It is a one-person business by design: the person who answers the phone is the person who does the work, and he is a registered electrician. Community-minded and customer-focused are his own words for it.

How a job runs

One number, from the first call to the last screw.

PPE Services is one registered electrician with a second trade in the same van. That is the whole reason it works the way it does.

    You call Phill directly

It is his own number on the van and on the hoodie — no call centre, no account manager. Tell him what is going on, or send the job sheet from the contact page.

  2. 02

He looks at the actual job

What is wrong, what it needs and what it involves, explained in plain language before any work starts.

  3. 03

    Both trades, one visit

When a job crosses from a repair into the wiring, it does not need a second tradesperson, a second booking or a second invoice.

  4. 04

    Done properly, left tidy

Careful work, an eye for the detail, and the site left the way you would want to find it.

Questions

Straight answers.

Anything else, ring Phill — it’s usually quicker. 021 817 088

  • Yes. Phill Palmer is a registered electrician with over 25 years in the electrical trade. Electrical worker registrations in New Zealand are public and can be checked on the Electrical Workers Register.

  • That is the point of PPE Services. Reactive Electrical and Fix It Phill are the same business and the same person, so a job that needs both trades does not need two tradespeople.

  • No job too small — it is printed on everything Phill owns. One dead socket, a breaker that keeps tripping, a door that will not latch: those are ordinary jobs, and they get the same registered electrician as the big ones.

  • Te Aroha and surrounds, through to Hamilton — including Waihou, Waitoa, Tatuanui and Paeroa.

  • Yes. “Home or office” is Phill’s own line. Test and tag, electrical work, property maintenance and repairs all apply to workplaces and rentals.

  • Call Phill on 021 817 088, email ppeservices25@gmail.com, or fill in the job sheet on the contact page and send it through.
