Hands fitting a new double power point to a painted wall

Reactive Electrical

Electrical installations & repairs

New power points, circuits and fittings put in properly — and faults found and fixed.

Reactive Electrical

When something electrical stops working, or you need something new put in, it wants a registered electrician.

Phill has been doing electrical installations and repairs for over 25 years. That covers the everyday jobs that make a house or workplace work: adding or moving power points, wiring in appliances, replacing tired fittings and switches, and tracking down faults — the circuit that keeps tripping, the socket that has gone dead, the light that flickers.

Most electrical work in New Zealand has to be done by a registered electrical worker, so this is not a job for a general handyman. Because PPE Services also runs a handyman side, the patching, fixing and tidying around the electrical work can be done on the same visit.

  • Yes. Phill Palmer is a registered electrician with over 25 years in the electrical trade. Electrical worker registrations in New Zealand are public and can be checked on the Electrical Workers Register.

  • The electrical work is done by Phill as a registered electrician. The handyman side covers the non-electrical repairs and maintenance — which is why having both in one business saves a second visit.

  • That is the point of PPE Services. Reactive Electrical and Fix It Phill are the same business and the same person, so a job that needs both trades does not need two tradespeople.

  • No job too small — it is printed on everything Phill owns. One dead socket, a breaker that keeps tripping, a door that will not latch: those are ordinary jobs, and they get the same registered electrician as the big ones.

  • Te Aroha and surrounds, through to Hamilton — including Waihou, Waitoa, Tatuanui and Paeroa.
